Redmi Pad 2 Pro 5G Chipset Confirmed, India Pricing Tipped Before Launch

Redmi is set to kick off the year with a new tablet launch in India. The Redmi Pad 2 Pro 5G will officially debut on January 6, and Xiaomi has already confirmed several key details through its India microsite.

Alongside that, leaks have started filling in the pricing picture.

Mid-Range Pricing

Xiaomi has indicated that the Redmi Pad 2 Pro 5G will be priced between Rs. 20,000 and Rs. 30,000 in India. Adding more detail, tipster Abhishek Yadav claims the base Wi-Fi variant with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage could start at around Rs. 25,000.

According to the same tip, the 5G variants may come in 8GB+128GB and 8GB+256GB options, priced at roughly Rs. 28,000 and Rs. 30,000, respectively.

Sales are said to begin a few days after launch, likely around mid-January.

Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 Confirmed

On the hardware side, Redmi has officially confirmed that the Pad 2 Pro 5G will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chipset. This puts the tablet firmly in the upper mid-range, aimed at users who want smooth everyday performance without stepping into flagship pricing.

The Indian variant has been spotted running Android 15, which suggests it may not ship with the latest Android version, as Android 16 is already available.

The Rest, In Brief

Beyond pricing and the chipset, the tablet features a 12.1-inch Quad HD+ display with up to 120Hz refresh rate and Dolby Vision support. Audio is handled by a quad-speaker setup with Dolby Atmos, paired with a volume boost feature.

Redmi is also highlighting a 12,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging, along with a metal unibody design that’s 7.5mm thick and weighs about 610g. Camera hardware remains simple, with 8MP sensors on both the front and rear.
