Samsung has officially unveiled two new budget tablets in India today. The Samsung Galaxy A9 series introduces two new Android tablets to the fray including the Galaxy Tab A9 and Galaxy Tab A9+.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab A9 series arrives with Qualcomm and MediaTek Helio chipsets, although the South Korean giant didn't mention the exact chip model. However, considering only the Tab A9+ supports 5G, it will likely be the one to use the Snapdragon chipset.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab A9 price in India starts from Rs 12,999. The Galaxy Tab A9 comes in Wi-Fi and LTE variants. The Samsung Galaxy Tab A9 Plus price in India starts from Rs 18,999, while the tablet also comes in Wi-Fi and LTE variants.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab A9 series comes in 4GB/64GB and 8GB/128GB models. The Samsung Galaxy Tab A9 series arrives in Graphite, Silver, and Navy color options. Samsung's latest budget tablets will be available for purchase in India and select markets starting today.

Samsung Galaxy Tab A9 Series Specifications

The Samsung Galaxy Tab A9 uses a MediaTek Helio SoC, while the 'Plus' model opts for the Snapdragon 695 5G chipset. The two tablets come with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 128GB of storage that is expandable up to 1TB via a microSD card. The Galaxy Tab A9 series runs on Android 13 with the One UI skin on top.

The Galaxy Tab A9+ also brings PC-level multitasking to the tablet with Samsung DeX and the multi-active window allows up to three split-screens3 to maximize the ability to do more at once. The Galaxy Tab A series also enables seamless connectivity across Samsung Galaxy devices.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab A9 sports an 8.7-inch LCD panel with a standard 60Hz refresh rate, while the Tab A9+ uses an 11-inch LCD screen with a 90Hz refresh rate. The Tab A9 series packs quad speakers with Dolby Atmos support. The Galaxy Tab A9 packs a 5100 mAh battery, while the Tab A9+ opts for a 7040 mAh cell.

For optics, the Samsung Galaxy Tab A9 series features an 8 MP rear camera. For the front camera, the vanilla Tab A9 has a 2 MP sensor, while the Tab A9+ opts for a 5 MP shooter. Connectivity options on the Galaxy Tab A9 series include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 5, 5G (Only on the Tab A9+), Bluetooth, Samsung's Knox security chip, and more.
