Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2 user manual along with renders emerge

Samsung is rumored to launch the Galaxy Tab Active 2 not before long. Despite the device emerging online multiple times, its exact launch time is not known.

However, the Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2 has visited the benchmarking sites and received the FCC certification as well. Now, its user manual has appeared on Samsung's official site. Further, tipster Roland Quandt has revealed some interesting information regarding the upcoming tablet. As we know, the Galaxy Tab 2 is said to be launched in two variants.

One will carry support both Wi-Fi and LTE, whereas another will be Wi-Fi only variant. These models are associated with the model numbers SM-T395 and SM-T390 respectively. Wi-Fi+LTE variant with the model number SM-T395 had appeared on GeekBench last month revealing some of its specs.

According to the official user manual of Galaxy Tab Active 2, it will have a removable back cover and a user-replaceable battery. The user manual further reveals that the tablet will come with an S Pen stylus and a USB Type-C port. There will be a fingerprint scanner on the device, embedded into the home button.

Another image from the user manual shows that the Galaxy Tab Active 2 will feature Bixby Home. If you are wondering about the Bixby Voice, the chances of that happening are lean.

Now, coming to Roland Quandt's speculations, the Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 2 will be a business-centric tablet. He also mentions about the S Pen stylus. Being the Active variant, it will carry IP68 certification for water and dust resistance. The tipster has now uploaded more renders on Twitter.

Going by existing reports, the tablet will arrive with an 8-inch display that would be supporting a resolution of 1,280×800 pixels. Under its hood, the Galaxy Tab Active 2 would make use of an Exynos 7870 chipset coupled with 3GB of RAM.

As for optics, the Samsung device will likely feature an 8MP rear camera and a 5MP selfie camera. It will run on Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS. A 4,450mAh battery is expected to keep the lights on.
