Xiaomi Pad 6, Pad 6 Pro Launched: Check Specs, Features, Price Of Flagship Android Tablets

Xiaomi unveiled the Xiaomi 13 Ultra smartphone at its global launch event today. The Chinese tech giant also unveiled a host of other products such as the Xiaomi Pad 6 series, the Xiaomi Smart Band 8, and a massive 86-inch Xiaomi Smart TV.

The Xiaomi Pad 6 series includes two tablets: Xiaomi Pad 6 and Xiaomi Pad 6 Pro. A Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SoC powers the Xiaomi Pad 6. A Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC powers the Pro variant of the Xiaomi Pad 6. Both variants feature a high-resolution display with a 120Hz refresh rate.

Xiaomi Pad 6, Pad 6 Pro Specifications, Features

The Xiaomi Pad 6 and Pad 6 Pro share many specifications, but Xiaomi has managed to offer a slightly premium experience with the Xiaomi Pad 6 Pro. Both models feature a metal body, USB-C 3.0 standards, and a fingerprint scanner.

The Xiaomi Pad 6 and the Pad 6 Pro feature an 11-inch display with a 2880 x 1800 pixels resolution. Xiaomi has embedded a 2.8K IPS LCD screen with a 144Hz refresh rate. Xiaomi has assured the display offers brilliant color accuracy. It has hardware-level low-blue light eye protection and dual eye protection certification.

The standard variant of the Xiaomi Pad 6 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SoC, while the Xiaomi Pad 6 Pro is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset. The Xiaomi Pad 6 series has multiple variants with varying RAM sizes. Buyers can choose up to 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of internal storage. Some RAM and storage sizes are restricted to the Pro variant only.

Talking about the imaging hardware, the Xiaomi Pad 6 series tablets have a dual camera setup on the back, headlined by a 50MP primary camera, which is accompanied by an LED flash.

Xiaomi hasn't officially confirmed yet, but the Xiaomi Pad 6 Pro may remain limited to the Chinese market. Xiaomi should launch the Xiaomi Pad 6 in multiple markets outside China.

The Xiaomi Pad 6 series runs Android 13 OS-based MIUI 14 out of the box. There is support for dual-band Wi-Fi (2.4GHz and 5GHz). The standard variant packs an 8,600mAh battery, which supports 33W wired fast charging, while the Pro variant has an 8,840mAh battery, which supports 67W wired fast charging.

Xiaomi Pad 6, Pad 6 Pro Price, Availability

The Xiaomi Pad 5 series packed the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 chipset. This means the standard variant of the Xiaomi Pad 6 does offer any significant improvement in processing power. The tablets will be available in black, beige, and blue.

The Xiaomi Pad 6 goes on sale in China starting today. The Xiaomi Pad 6 Pro will be able for pre-order today, but a full release or open sale is scheduled for April 21.

Xiaomi has priced the 6GB + 128GB variant of the Xiaomi Pad 6 at RMB 1899 (approx. USD275 / ₹22,600). The 8GB + 128GB variant has been priced at RMB 1,999 (approx. USD290 / ₹23,800). The 8GB + 256GB variant of the tablet costs RMB 2299 (approx USD 335 / ₹27,500)

The 8GB + 128GB variant of the Xiaomi Pad 6 Pro has been priced at RMB 2399 (approx. USD 350 / ₹28,600). The 8GB + 25GB variant has been priced at RMB 2699 (approx. USD 390 / ₹32,200). The 12GB + 256GB variant of the Pro model costs RMB 2999 (approx. USD 435 / ₹35,780), while the top-end model of the Xiaomi Pad 6 Pro with 12GB RAM and 512GB of internal storage has been priced at RMB 3299 (USD 480 / ₹39,300)
