Xiaomi Pad 8 Launched in India With Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 and HyperOS 3: Check Price, Specs, Features
Xiaomi has launched the Xiaomi Pad 8 in India, introducing a new tablet that focuses on portability, productivity, and creative workflows. The device runs on HyperOS 3 and is powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 mobile platform, positioning it as a tablet designed for both work and everyday use.

The company says the tablet is built for people who move between different tasks during the day, whether that means reviewing documents, attending online meetings, or watching content during downtime.
HyperOS 3 Brings Multitasking And Productivity Tools
The Xiaomi Pad 8 runs on HyperOS 3, which introduces a refreshed interface with updated lock screens, wallpapers, and customizable widgets.
Multitasking is a big part of the experience. The tablet supports a vertical split-screen layout, allowing two apps to run side by side. For example, users can attend a meeting while taking notes or browse research while drafting documents.
There’s also a compact horizontal split view, which allows smaller apps like chat windows, notes, or calculators to remain open alongside a primary task.

Another feature called Workstation Mode adjusts the interface for more structured multitasking. The enhanced dock allows quicker switching between frequently used apps, which can make it easier to move between documents, browsers, and communication tools.
The tablet also includes PC-style browser features, including mouse-hover previews, right-click functionality, and an enhanced toolbar.
Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 Powers The Tablet
Under the hood, the Xiaomi Pad 8 is powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 mobile platform.
According to Xiaomi, the chip brings 32 percent improved CPU performance and over 50 percent stronger GPU performance, helping with tasks like multitasking, gaming, streaming, and creative workflows.
The tablet also uses LPDDR5T memory and UFS 4.1 storage, which should allow faster app loading and smoother switching between large files and applications.
Two Display Options For Different Use Cases
Xiaomi is offering the Pad 8 with two display options.
Users can choose between a nano-texture display and a glossy display. The nano-texture option is designed to reduce glare and reflections, which may help when using the tablet in bright environments like classrooms, cafés, or offices.
The glossy display version focuses on deeper contrast and more vibrant visuals, making it better suited for entertainment like movies, gaming, or browsing.
Focus Pen Pro Adds Creative Features
Xiaomi is also introducing the Focus Pen Pro, a stylus designed for writing, drawing, and annotation.
The pen supports over 16,000 pressure levels and less than 1ms latency, allowing strokes to appear almost instantly on the screen. It also includes rotation support, along with hover functionality and haptic feedback.
For users who prefer typing, the tablet works with the Xiaomi Pad Keyboard and Focus Keyboard, turning it into a laptop-style workstation.
Xiaomi has also kept backward compatibility with the Focus Pen and Focus Keyboard from the Xiaomi Pad 7, which means existing accessories can still be used with the new device.
Battery, Charging And Software Support
The Xiaomi Pad 8 includes a 9200mAh battery, which Xiaomi says is the largest battery used in one of its tablets so far.
The tablet supports 45W turbo charging, and Xiaomi includes a 67W charger in the box.
In terms of software support, Xiaomi says the tablet will receive four years of Android OS updates and six years of security updates.
