Xiaomi is preparing to introduce the Redmi Pad 2, following the first model released three years ago. A teaser suggests a significant announcement on June 5th, with the tagline "Built for More," indicating a large screen and battery. The teaser also hints at an enhanced multimedia experience and mentions that the tablet will be lighter and more compact than a laptop.

The global teaser reveals the Redmi Pad 2 in two colours, featuring an 8MP rear camera and a 3.5mm audio jack. It confirms a 4G model will be available. Additionally, another teaser for the standard Wi-Fi version introduces a Violet colour option alongside Mint Green and Grey.

Specifications and Features

According to listings in Europe, the tablet will feature an 11-inch 2.5K display with a refresh rate of 90Hz and peak brightness of up to 600 nits. It will be powered by the MediaTek Helio G100 Ultra SoC, include a 5MP front camera, quad speakers, and have a substantial 9,000 mAh battery supporting 18W charging.

The Redmi Pad 2's pricing in Europe is set at 199 Euros (approximately USD 227 or Rs. 19,395) for the Wi-Fi model with 4GB RAM and 128GB storage. The Redmi Pad 2 with 4G connectivity, offering 8GB RAM and 256GB storage, is priced at 299 Euros (approximately USD 261 or Rs. 22,320).

Availability in India

After its launch, the Redmi Pad 2 will be available for purchase on Amazon.in, Flipkart, mi.com, as well as offline retail stores across India. Further details regarding its release in India are expected to be announced later this week.
