Xiaomi Redmi Pad SE: An Affordable Full HD+ 11-Inch Tablet With SD 680 SoC, 8GB RAM, 8000mAh Battery Launched

Xiaomi has launched the Redmi Pad SE, a tablet intended for content consumption, office productivity, and light gaming. Let's look at the specifications, features, price, launch, and availability of the affordable but feature-rich portable Android touchscreen computer from Xiaomi.

The Xiaomi Redmi Pad SE features an 11-inch Full HD+ LCD screen with 1920 x 1200 pixels resolution with a 90Hz refresh rate. The adequately fast screen has a claimed peak brightness of up to 400 nits, and 1500:1 contrast. The Xiaomi Redmi Pad SE has even secured TUV Rheinland certification, which means, it emits low blue light, and hence, is easy on the eyes.
Xiaomi has embedded the 6nm octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 SoC inside the Redmi Pad SE. Buyers can pair this reliable midrange chipset with 4 GB, 6 GB, or 8 GB of RAM. However, there's only 128GB of storage in all the variants. Buyers can insert a microSD card of up to 1TB capacity to expand onboard storage.
When held horizontally, the Xiaomi Redmi Pad SE sports a 5 MP selfie camera that sits on the top side. There's a single rear-facing camera setup, comprising a 8 MP f/2.0 camera with 1080p video recording capabilities.
Redmi Pad SE features "large-size quad speakers" and supports Dolby Atmos as well as Hi-Res audio. The tablet even has a 3.5 mm audio jack.
The Xiaomi Redmi Pad SE features a USB-C port meant for charging the 8,000mAh battery. Strangely, the tablet does not support any fast charging, allowing only 10W wired charging.
The Redmi Pad SE runs Android 13 with MIUI Pad 14 on top. It weighs 478 grams. The tablet supports dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.0.

Xiaomi launched the Redmi Pad SE at the Redmi event held on August 15, 2023. At the event, the brand also announced the Xiaomi Pad 6 Max as well as the Redmi K60 Ultra.
The Xiaomi Redmi Pad SE is available in three colors: Lavender Purple, Graphite Gray, and Mint Green. Its price starts at €199 (approx. ₹18,000) for the model with 4 GB RAM and 128 GB internal storage. The 6GB + 128GB variant of the Redmi Pad SE has been priced at €229 (approx. ₹20,000), and the top-end model with 8GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage costs €249 (approx. ₹22,000).
Xiaomi hasn't confirmed if the Redmi Pad SE will launch in India. However, it is possible the company could rebrand the tablet and launch it alongside the Redmi K60 Ultra, which might launch as the Xiaomi 13T Pro.
