Vivo Buds Launched in India at Rs 1,999 With 50-Hour Battery and Spatial Audio

Vivo has stepped into India's brutally crowded budget audio market with the Vivo Buds, a pair of truly wireless earphones priced at Rs 1,999 that carry a spec sheet doing a lot more than the price would suggest. This is the company's proper push into the connected accessory space, and it has chosen to fight where the volume is, right at the sub-2,000 mark where a dozen brands already scrap for attention.

The headline number is battery. Vivo rates the Buds at up to 12 hours on a single charge, stretching to 50 hours with the case, and a quick 10-minute top-up is claimed to return around four hours of playback. At this price that endurance is the kind of figure that sells a pair on the Flipkart listing alone.

The audio hardware seems richer than the price on paper. Each bud packs a 10mm dynamic driver built with a composite diaphragm, pairing flexible PU with rigid PEEK to cut distortion and hold on to treble detail. On compatible Vivo phones the Buds unlock spatial audio across four modes, Theater, Concert Hall, Studio and Live Concert, and there is a 10-band equaliser plus presets like Mega Bass, Clear Voice and an Audiobook mode for anyone who likes to tinker.

Vivo has not skimped on the practical stuff either. There is dual-mic AI noise cancellation for calls, helped by a wind-resistant Cross-Flow Duct design, Bluetooth 6.1 with multipoint so you can hold a laptop and phone connection at once, and a 42ms low-latency mode aimed at mobile gamers. Each bud weighs just 3.8g and the pair carries an IP54 rating for sweat and light rain.

The Vivo Buds are on sale from today in Nilgiri Green and Basalt Black, across the Vivo India store, Flipkart and retail outlets nationwide.
