NVIDIA Computex 2023 Keynote Biggest Announcements And Developments
Computex, one of the biggest computing events of the year, had NVIDIA present its developments, key milestones, and future roadmap. NVIDIA recently posted massive Q1 profit driven largely by new AI hardware powering the latest large language models at Microsoft, Google, and OpenAI.
In his first-ever in-person event after the pandemic, NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang took the stage by storm at the company's presentation during the ongoing Computex 2023 event. Let's look at some of the biggest announcements he made about NVIDIA's achievements, developments, and future roadmap.

NVIDIA Is Going Bigger In The World Of AI
NVIDIA showcased multiple products and platforms that majorly revolve around Artificial Intelligence and Generative AI. Needless to mention, these will benefit tools and services such as ChatGPT, Bard, Dall-E, and many more.
Huang showcased the NVIDIA GH200 Grace Hopper. The super-chip boosts 4 PetaFIOPS TE, 72 Arm CPUs connected by chip-to-chip link, 96GB HBM3, and 576 GPU memory.
Huang confirmed full volume production of GPU server HGX H100 has begun. However, production of the next generation of Hopper GPUs will start in August 2024. The HGX H100 costs $200,000 and is a data center GPU in a surprisingly compact form factor.
NVIDIA also showcased its NVIDIA DGX GH200, which is essentially a supercharged GH200. The super-chip is made by first connecting eight Grace Hoppers together with three NVLINK Switches. Then finally, 32 are joined together, with another layer of switches, to connect a total of 256 Grace Hopper chips.
The resulting ExaFLOPS Transformer Engine has 144 TB GPU memory and functions as a giant GPU providing a 600GB Hopper architecture GPU building block. The NVIDIA DGX GH200 could be fast enough to be in the Top 500 Supercomputers list. Except for Amazon, all other tech giants, including Google Cloud, Meta, and Microsoft have already lined up as early adopters.
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 Ti GPU Enters Full-Scale Production
NVIDIA has undoubtedly bet big on the world of AI. However, it hasn't sidelined gamers. The company indicated it will remain committed to gaming with two significant announcements.
The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 Ti GPU for gamers is now in full production. NVIDIA confirmed high-end graphics cards are being produced in "large quantities" with partners in Taiwan.
NVIDIA recently announced the 8GB and 16GB models of the NVIDIA RTX 4060 and 4060 Ti. These will launch in July. NVIDIA hasn't confirmed the prices of these GPUs yet.
During the event, Huang showed off the RTX 4060 Ti GPU and a 14-inch laptop running Cyberpunk 2077 with real-time RT. Needless to say, this is a great achievement for a portable computer.
