OpenAI Offers ChatGPT Integration In Third-Party Apps To Start Earning From Generative AI
OpenAI's ChatGPT has been adopted by millions. Now, Microsoft is opening up access to businesses and developers. It looks like the company wants to explore the commercial viability of ChatGPT in an attempt to generate revenue streams.
Businesses and developers can incorporate the powerful AI-based conversational search engine into their apps. Paid access to ChatGPT could help OpenAI and Microsoft bear the rising expenses of cloud-computing resources these tools need.

ChatGPT API Available For Third-Party Apps And Services Integration
The AI tool from OpenAI was offered to the public, and the response has been phenomenal. Now Microsoft is offering paid access to the ChatGPT platform for businesses and developers.
Companies can use the platform's ability to answer questions and generate text in their applications, products, and services. Subscribers can plug-in in ChatGPT's APIs (Application Programming Interface) into their apps.
Microsoft has assured that the ChatGPT platform offered to businesses will have the same GPT 3.5 model that OpenAI uses. The company claims that businesses can access ChatGPT at a cost that is ten times lower than what they're already spending on current products.
Microsoft confirmed that Instacart, Shopify, and Snap have already started using the ChatGPT API in their products.
OpenAI Struggling With Massive Bills ChatGPT Is Generating?
OpenAI's ChatGPT and DALL-E have generated enormous public interest. The Microsoft-funded organization has two of the best-known artificial intelligence systems.
ChatGPT creates textual or conversational answers to queries, starkly different from traditional search engines. The platform can link previously asked questions and can offer increasingly specific answers. Meanwhile, the AI-based image generator DALL-E churns out realistic images and portraits based on text prompts and image data.
However, offering such services needs massive computing power. In other words, AI models rack up huge cloud-computing bills. In January this year, OpenAI reportedly secured a $10 billion (approx. ₹82,400 Crores) fund infusion from Microsoft.
OpenAI has been exploring ways to recoup costs and perhaps start earning from its AI tools. The organization recently started a waitlist for companies and developers who want to use ChatGPT in their apps.
Moreover, OpenAI is selling a premium version of ChatGPT to individuals. The subscription grants guaranteed access and prioritizes paying customers.
