Tata Docomo Set to Offer Wi-Fi services in Connaught Place, Delhi
Here's some great new if you are a residing somewhere near Connaught Place or is a resident of New Delhi. According to reports, Tata Docomo has announced that it will provide Wi-Fi services in the Connaught Place (CP) area, New Delhi.
The new Wi-Fi service, that's been possible via a brand new partnership with New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC), will now cover 4kms of area and will be available for users starting next month.
"The process of latching on to our Wi-Fi network is very simple. All the customer has to do is switch the Wi-Fi on in the device and click on the Tata Docomo SSID and user goes to the authentication page fills in some required details like email id and mobile number & receives an OTP to connect to the internet," explains Tata Docomo in a detailed release. "The first 20 minutes of service for free at most of the hotspots."
However, this is not the first instance where Wi-Fi has been introduced in major parts of a metropolitan. We have already seen how the in-flow of Wi-Fi services has seen its populatiy rise in cities like Bangalore already.
"Post that if a customer wants to continue using the Wi-Fi service, one has an option of buying a plan online or walking up to a counter to purchase scratch cards for any offer he wishes to choose. Tata Docomo Wi-Fi roaming cards (scratch) offers plans depending on the time one desires to use the services. These Wi-Fi roaming cards can be used at any Tata Docomo hotspot across India."
"Tata Docomo Wi-Fi provides pre-paid tariff cards starting from Rs 20 for 40 minutes, Rs 30 for 60 minutes & Rs 50 for 100 minutes," the post adds.
