Xiaomi Mi TV 2: A Super Cheap 40-Inch TV Unveiled With A Full HD 1080p Display

    Xiaomi has introduced 40-inch Mi TV 2, after a year of launching the 49-inch Mi TV 2. This TV supports H.265 10-bit hardware video decoding along with Dolby MS12 virtual surround sound. It carries a dimension of 14.5mm slim frame, minimal aluminum brackets for a better viewing experience also has 11 key minimal remote control.

    Xiaomi Mi TV 2 comes with 40-inch full HD display (1920 x 1080) from Sharp with 176-degree viewing angle, 6 ms dynamic response along with 5000: 1 contrast ratio. It is powered by 1.45GHz quad-core MStar 6A908 Cortex-A9 processor and Mali-450 MP4 GPU along with 1.5GB RAM. On the storage, it has 8GB of internal memory with no expansion slot.

    This device comes with 2.25-inch full-range stereo speakers with acoustic wave-guide technology along with Dolby MS12 Virtual Surround Sound and Bass Boost.

    On the connectivity, it supports WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Dual-band 2.4 / 5GHz, Bluetooth 4.0 LE, 3 x HDMI 1.4, VGA, AV, Analog TV, 1 x USB 2.0 and 1x USB 3.0, Ethernet and also supports Supports H.265 1080P at 60 fps, H.263 1080P at 30 fps, MPEG1 / 2/4 1080P at 30 fps, VP8 1080P at 30 fps, REAL7 / 8/9 1080P at 30 fps, MJPEG 1080P at 30 fps.

    Priced at 1999 Chinese Yuan (approx Rs. 20,035), Xiaomi Mi TV 2 is now available for the pre-order on the official website and goes on sale on March 31st in China. As of now there is no official announcement on the global roll out.
