Now, the major question is does Reliance really offering Jio SIM card to everyone? Yes, they are offering Jio SIM card for every person. But, there's a catch, though. In some cities, Reliance stores are asking for a 4G smartphone to give customers a Jio SIM card.

But, some of the stores aren't asking that. If you're seriously interested in getting a Jio SIM card, you have to carry a 4G smartphone along with you for not coming back again with disappointment. Also, some of the stores are asking for the barcode which can be generated via MyJio app.

Step 1: Download MyJio App

The traditional procedure to get a Jio SIM card. Download MyJio app from App Store on your iPhone. Do make a note that, users with Apple iPhone 6, 6 Plus, iPhone SE, iPhone 6s, 6s Plus are only eligible for Jio 4G services, but not the iPhone 5 and 5s users.

Step 2: Generate a Barcode

Now, after downloading the MyJio App, generate a bar code by opening the application and pressing the 'Get Jio SIM' button present over there. Verify your mobile number and generate a bar code.

Step 3: Rush to the Nearest Reliance Store

Once you're done with generating the barcode, you now need to visit a nearby Reliance Digital store along with your KYC Documents and generated barcode. The store authorities will verify your barcode and hand over a Jio 4G SIM card to you.

Step 4: Wait for the Signal Bars

You need to wait for signal bars to arrive on your Jio SIM card. Do make a note that, Reliance is having a hard time in activating the SIM cards as many users have already taken their SIM cards. It might take nearly 3 weeks for the activation process. Once after receiving the signal bars, you have to call 1977 for tele-verification to further access Jio services.

Step 5: Unable to Generate Barcode?

Some of you might notice that you won't see a 'Get Jio SIM' button under MyJio app. Don't panic, there is a solution for that as well. Just carry your supported iPhone to the nearest digital store and show them that your smartphone is 4G supported and grab your own SIM card.
