Almost every Jio user are now wobbling to get back the high data speeds. Can it be done? The answer is yes. Hereby, we list the proper steps to increase the download speed in Reliance Jio 4G network.

1) Lock Your Mobile's Band

Reliance Jio offers different speeds in different bands such as the band 40 offers better speed than other bands. That said, you need to lock your mobile's band to Band 40 to get better speeds. In Qualcomm devices, you can do that by entering *#*#4636#*#* and changing the LTE band to Band 40.

Do make a note that this trick works with some Qualcomm chip devices and for MediaTek chipset devices such as OnePlus 3, Xiaomi Mi 5, etc.

2) MTK Engineering Tool for MediaTek Devices
On the other hand, we have the MediaTek devices. You can follow the step 1 for changing the LTE band, but it works for only some devices. Now, for other MediaTek devices, download the MTK Engineering tool and lock the LTE band to Band 40.

3) Change APN Settings
The next step is to change the APN on your smartphone. Normal APN settings usually deliver good data download speeds, but changing the APN settings might help in the boost of data speeds. Create the APN Settings are shown below.

• Port - No changes
• Username - No changes

• Authentication type - No changes
• APN Protocol - Ipv4/Ipv6

Note: The settings might not work at times, and please make sure that you have taken necessary backup of your previous APN.

4) Download Snap VPN
After changing the APN settings, you need to download the Snap VPN app from Google Play Store, which is available for free.

5) Connect to France/ Singapore Server
After downloading the Snap VPN, you'll need to connect to the servers of France or Singapore, which offers you better download speed. Having said this, this trick will only improve the download speeds, but not the browsing speed.
