After making the service available to the general public earlier this month, Reliance Jio, today expanded their support to every user with a 4G smartphone.

Late last month, we received a leak about the same news saying that the company expanded their service to every 4G smartphone, however, at that point of time, there was no official confirmation from the company. As of now, the stores issued Jio SIM cards only for users with a barcode.

Till date, the barcode can be generated on any 4G Android smartphone and more recently, the offer was expanded to users of OnePlus, LeEco, Intex, Oppo smartphones. But, users of iPhone and Lumia handsets failed to generate a barcode as there was no 'Get Jio SIM' card option under 'MyJio' app.

It is worth noticing that 'My Jio' is not yet live for Windows phone users. Starting today, everyone with a 4G smartphone can get their own SIM card from the nearest Reliance Digital Store.

Download 'MyJio' App

The procedure is completely similar to other barcode generation process. Firstly, download the 'MyJio' app from Google Play Store and App Store.

Verify Your Details!

After downloading the application, it will ask you to verify your details such as name, phone number, and email ID. Enter your respective details and verify your mobile number.

Generate Barcode

After verifying your details, the application will now ask you to generate a barcode from the home screen itself. Just hit on ‘Generate a barcode option'.

Grab Your SIM Card from Reliance Store

Head over to your nearest Reliance Digital store nearby your location and grab your Jio 4G SIM card.

Wait for the Signals to Appear

It will take nearly three to four weeks for your Reliance Jio SIM card to get activated. And then, just call the 1977 and tele-verify your number for unlimited data services until December 31.
