RComm Lost 20 Million Subscribers, Reliance Jio's Alleged Welcome Offer 2 Poses A Threat
RComm dropped down from fourth to sixth, and lost nearly 20 million customers, soon after the new entrant, Reliance Jio hit the market.
Reliance Communications had recently unveiled several exciting tariff plans offering unlimited voice calls, especially to take on Reliance Jio and retain their lost customers. Along with just tariff plans, RComm has also been put to a lot more things to improve their network and customer base.
With the advent of Reliance Jio, several telecom operators, be it small or big have been gearing up to strive in the competitive telecom sector. Likewise, RComm has been having several meetings introducing numerous tariff plans, and merging with other telcos to bring up its position in the market.

However, being among the top telecom operators happens to be a distant dream for RComm has of now. Here's why RComm should come up with better strategies to strive in the competitive marketplace.
RComm Need Revised Strategies
Soon after the new entrant, Reliance Jio entered the market, Anil Ambani-headed Reliance Communications had recently planned out several new strategies to improve its lost position in the telecom market.
However, the company has supposedly dropped down from being the fourth best to the sixth position in the past few months.
What TRAI Reports?
RComm has supposedly lost, as per the report by TRAI, the telecom operator has lost nearly 8.40 million overall subscribers in August, and the reason behind the loss is said to have been a closing of the CDMA services.

Closing Down CDMA Service a Bad Decision?
RComm in the month of August closed down its CDMS services due to which the company has lost 20 million customers for using airwaves to trade or share with Reliance Jio in order to build an extensive 4G network across the country, states report.

RComm's Merge With Aircel and MTS, Will it Work?
RComm has recently announced its merge with the two other telecom operator including MTS and Aircel in order to compete with the other telecom giants. Well, it should be noted that the total number of active user with RComm counts around 84.37 percent, whereas, for Aircel its around 71 percent.
As per the report, the collaboration is expected to bring up the active customers to 125 -135 million instead of old estimation of more than 150 million.
Reliance Jio Welcome Offer 2 Might Affect the Smaller Telcos
Reliance Jio's unlimited offer has already given sleepless nights to several telcos, and have highly impacted the smaller operator's like Aircel and RComm in the last few months.
However, if Reliance Jio introduces Welcome Offer 2, it will supposedly be a bad news for the telcos, as their active customer base might fall down to a much lower level in 2017.
