Legal issues!

There have been reports that Jio 4G Preview Offer might face legal complications for it has been made available to masses without having being launched commercially. Airtel, Vodafone and Idea have appealed to TRAI to slap Reliance Jio with a fine for promoting its 4G services in the name of free Preview, without paying the government spectrum and other relevant fees that a commercially launched network must pay to operate.

Call drop problems!

The Reliance Jio network is good for 4G VoLTE services, but if you want to make voice calls on the network, it is likey that you face issues. Reliance Jio has confessed it that call drop rate on their network is quite high right now, however the company is working on improving it.

The problem is that Jio faces issue in shared network. Calls initiated on the Jio network, connecting to Vodafone, Airtel and Idea networks drop frequently because other players are not co-operating with Jio in sharing their networks.

No number porting option!

If you like Reliance Jio 4G service and want to switch your network by porting your existing number to Jio, there is no option to port your number as of now. Reliance Jio hasn't commercially rolled out its 4G service officially; hence it does not even allow porting existing number. However, with the commercial service expected to launch on September 1, the company might as well open the porting option.
