Right now, the telecom industry in the country is dominated by Reliance Jio and everyone is talking about the free 4G SIM that packs a slew of benefits.
While Reliance Jio is known to provide freebies until December 31 under the Welcome Offer, there are talks that on December 28, the company might announce the extension of the same. Well, the talk is about the Welcome Offer 2 that might give a new set of freebies to the users.

However, Reliance Jio is not in news only for the Welcome Offer 2 but also regarding a few scams. Today, we have compiled a few such scams over here so that you stay away from those and don't believe them.
The fake news that gave a shock to many Jio users is the Jio bill of Rs. 27,718. Well, this fake bill started making rounds all over the web and was claimed to be sent to a Kolkata based Jio user. As per this fake bill, the penalty for not paying the amount within the due date is Rs. 1,100. However, it should be understood by the Jio users that is fake as the Welcome Offer is still valid. This came in before the official roll out of the Jio SIM home delivery service. Despite providing free SIM, the delivery charges for the same was Rs. 199. This website was taken down soon as it was identified to be fake. Also Read: Buy Jio SIM from online In another unbelievable news, it was stated that you can purchase a LYF phone and a Reliance Jio SIM by paying a low price of Rs. 199. Notably, the cost of the LYF smartphones start from Rs, 2,999 and there is no possibility to get it at Rs. 199. Also Read: Buy Jio SIM and LYF phone for Rs. 199 One of the fake websites that emerged online stated that the JioFi device that is a Wi-Fi hotspot device will be offered for free. However, the website wasn't genuine and asked for the personal details of the users and required them to get the coupon code only by sharing the message on WhatsApp. Also Read: Get JioFi Wi-Fi hotspot device for free Some users are avoiding the long queues to get the Jio SIM and paying a hefty sum of up to Rs. 500 to get their hands on one.
