Airtel has denied the claim of a data breach of 375M customers and said the hacker has not been able to provide any proof for his claim and is using this wrongly to tarnish the brand image. The company has also stated that they can confirm there has been no breach whatsoever from Airtel systems.

Recently a report claimed that a dark web seller named xenZen may have breached the servers of Airtel. This attack allegedly compromised the personal data of around 375 million Airtel customers, including phone, email, address, and Gov ID till June 2024.

Airtel's spokesperson said in an official statement - "There has been an ongoing report alleging that Airtel customer data has been compromised. This is nothing short of a desperate attempt to tarnish Airtel's reputation by vested interests. We have done a thorough investigation and can confirm that there has been no breach whatsoever from Airtel systems."
