Airtel Reportedly Adding Apple Music Subscription to Prepaid Plans
Bharti Airtel, the major telecom operator in India, seems to have expanded its offerings by providing Apple Music subscriptions to its prepaid users. Initially, the telco had introduced Apple Music and Apple TV+ benefits for its Wi-Fi and postpaid customers. Now, it appears that the company is extending the Apple Music benefits to its prepaid plans as well.
Apple Music Subscription Details
As of now, there is no official announcement from Airtel; the offer for Apple Music subscriptions has been spotted on the Airtel Thanks app. The app states: "Get Apple Music at no extra cost for up to 6 months." This suggests that eligible prepaid customers can enjoy this benefit without any additional charges initially.

Prepaid users who qualify can avail themselves of up to six months of free Apple Music. After this period, a fee of Rs 119 per month will be charged to their chosen payment method. While the specific eligibility criteria remain unclear, one can check their Airtel Thanks app for more information regarding this. It's also worth noting that this offer was available even on a non-Unlimited 5G plan.
In the same, Airtel recently announced a collaboration with Perplexity AI in July 2025. This partnership provides all subscribers with complimentary access to Perplexity Pro. This plan is valued at Rs 17,000 annually and includes features such as advanced model access, file uploads, image generation, and other premium services.
The move to include Apple Music for prepaid users aligns with Airtel's strategy of enhancing customer experience by offering value-added services. By integrating popular entertainment options like music streaming into their plans, Airtel aims to attract and retain more customers in a competitive market.
