BSNL Launches New ₹499 Streaming Add-On Plan for Cricket Fans: Check Perks, Validity
If you’re on BSNL and already juggling multiple streaming subscriptions, the telco has something new that might simplify things. Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited has launched a ₹499 add-on pack that bundles access to JioHotstar, SonyLIV and Zee5 under a single plan.

The timing isn’t accidental. With the T20 World Cup underway and IPL 2026 around the corner, this add-on is clearly aimed at cricket fans who don’t want to miss live matches.
What the ₹499 Add-On Actually Includes
The new pack costs ₹499 and comes with a 90-day validity. It works as an add-on, which means you can activate it on top of any existing BSNL prepaid plan.
Once active, you get three months of access to JioHotstar, SonyLIV and Zee5. BSNL says users can stream content on mobile phones and TVs at the same time, which is useful if more than one person in the house is watching.
Cricket coverage comes primarily through JioHotstar, which will stream all matches from the T20 World Cup and IPL 2026. SonyLIV adds access to other sports, while Zee5 and JioHotstar round things out with movies, web series and general entertainment.
This Is a Streaming Pack, Not a Recharge
It’s important to be clear about one thing. The ₹499 plan does not include data, calling or SMS benefits. It’s purely a content add-on.
You’ll still need an active BSNL base plan with enough data to stream matches and shows. Think of this as a shortcut to OTT access, not a replacement for your regular recharge.
