BSNL Launches Free BiTV Service Offering Access to Over 450 Live TV Channels for All SIM Users
BSNL has announced a major update for its users-all BSNL SIM card holders can now access the BiTV service, which provides over 450 live TV channels on smartphones. Developed in collaboration with OTT Play, this Direct-to-Mobile (D2M) service is now available nationwide at no extra cost for BSNL mobile users.
With this move, BSNL is positioning itself as an alternative to traditional cable TV and DTH services, allowing customers to stream live TV directly on their devices. While the service initially rolled out in select regions, it is now expanding to cover more areas across India.

BSNL's ₹99 and ₹439 Voice-Only Plans Now Include BiTV
One of the biggest questions users had was whether BiTV would require a specific prepaid plan. BSNL has clarified that BiTV is available to all BSNL mobile users, regardless of their plan.
Even those on voice-only plans-including the newly introduced ₹99 and ₹439 recharge options-can access BiTV's 450+ channels. This means that users who primarily rely on BSNL for calls can still stream live TV without any additional cost.
No Data Balance Required to Watch Live TV
Another standout feature of BSNL's BiTV service is that no data balance is needed to watch the live channels. This could be a game-changer for users who typically spend over ₹300 per month on traditional cable subscriptions. With just a BSNL SIM card, they can now stream live TV for free on their mobile devices.
