BSNL changes free night calling time for broadband plans from today
The state-run telecom operator BSNL has made its first announcement on the very first day of 2018. The operator has announced that it has revised the free night calling time for broadband plans and that the same will be effective from today.
Until now, BSNL was offering free and unlimited night calls from 9 PM to 7 AM for the users of broadband plans. From today, the timing or the free night voice calls will be 10:30 PM to 6 AM. The operator has released an official statement regarding the same. The new plan will be applicable to all the BSNL landline, broadband, combo and FTTH plans all over the country.
Along with free night calling, BSNL was offering free voice calls on Sundays and the company has announced that it has stopped the same in the Himachal Pradesh circle for both the existing and new customers.
The cancellation of free calls on Sundays and the change in the free night calls timing will definitely come as a big blow to the BSNL broadband users who have been taking advantage of the same so long. The reason behind this new move is yet to be revealed by the service provider.
The unlimited broadband plans start at Rs. 499 and not all the broadband plans with bundled landline voice calls. Only some plans will offer free night calls and users can opt for such plans to enjoy free calls. The entry-level BB249 broadband plan offers free night voice calls. Also, the combo plans such as BBG Combo ULD 499, BBG Combo UL 599, BBG Combo ULD 675, etc. are bundled with the free night voice calls. The broadband plans such as BBG ULD 545 and BBG ULD 795 do not have the night calling feature and the BBG Combo ULD 1199 offers free voice calls to any network across India for 24 hours.
