BSNL (Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited) is tapping into the growing demand for online services by introducing a new home delivery system for SIM cards. Customers can now order 4G and 5G BSNL SIMs online and get them delivered to their doorstep within 90 minutes of placing the order.

This move is especially timely as summer heatwaves drive more people indoors, increasing reliance on online shopping - not just for groceries and essentials, but now even for mobile services.

How BSNL's Home Delivery Service Works

Through BSNL's new initiative, customers can order SIM cards by visiting prune.co.in.

Here's a quick rundown of the process:

• Select "Buy SIM Card."

• Choose BSNL as the network provider.

• Pick a First Recharge Coupon (FRC) plan - options range from Rs 108 to Rs 2,999.

• Enter your name, mobile number, OTP, and delivery address.

Once the order is confirmed, the SIM card is delivered to your home within 90 minutes, provided your location is eligible for door delivery based on your area PIN code.

Notably, the Prune platform also allows ordering SIM cards from other major telecom providers like Jio, Airtel, and Vodafone Idea (Vi), offering a broader choice for customers.

BSNL's decision to offer home delivery for SIM cards comes as the company ramps up efforts to modernize its telecom offerings. After successfully completing its first 5G trial and earning customer trust with affordable plans, BSNL is now actively working on nationwide 4G rollout while preparing for commercial 5G deployment.

Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia recently announced that BSNL aims to install 1 lakh 4G towers across India by March next year. These towers will also support the upcoming 5G network, further strengthening BSNL's footprint in the competitive telecom landscape.
