BSNL Introduces Silver Jubilee Prepaid Plan With 2.5GB Daily Data And Unlimited Calls

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has unveiled a new prepaid plan called the Silver Jubilee plan, offering special benefits. Announced on Thursday via social media, this limited-time offer provides 2.5GB of mobile data daily, unlimited calls, and SMS benefits at an affordable price. This plan complements the previously introduced Silver Jubilee FTTH plan.

Existing customers can recharge through BSNL's website or the BSNL Self Care app to enjoy these benefits. New customers can visit retailers or BSNL Common Services Centres for activation. These centres also offer services like SIM card issuance, bill payments, and mobile recharges.

Silver Jubilee Plan Details

The Silver Jubilee plan is priced at Re. 225 with a 30-day validity. It includes 2.5GB of daily 4G data, unlimited local and STD voice calls, and 100 SMS per day. Once the daily data limit is reached, speeds drop to 40kbps under the fair usage policy (FUP).

BSNL has been introducing various offers recently to regain its subscriber base after losing momentum earlier this year. According to Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) data, BSNL lost 0.2 million subscribers in April and saw a decline of 1.8 million active users during the same period.

FTTH Plan and Entertainment Benefits

The Silver Jubilee FTTH plan costs Rs. 625 monthly and includes 2500GB of high-speed data at up to 70Mbps. It also offers entertainment perks like access to over 600 live TV channels, including 127 premium ones, along with subscriptions to JioHotstar and SonyLIV OTT platforms.

BSNL's efforts come amid changes in India's telecom landscape. Airtel has quietly removed its Rs 189 plan, making Rs 199 the minimum recharge option now available in India.

Additionally, Airtel is transitioning to a dual 5G network in India as it prepares to roll out advanced 5G services. Meanwhile, Starlink is hiring for multiple roles in Bengaluru ahead of its launch in India. BSNL's recent initiatives aim to attract more subscribers by offering competitive plans with added value through entertainment options and extensive data packages.
