BSNL Launches Prepaid Plans Starting At Rs. 97, Offering 2GB Daily Data
BSNL has launched a new plan of Rs. 365 where it is offering free data, 250 minutes for calling per day for two months. However, this plan is not available in all regions and can only be availed in Tamil Nadu, Chennai, and Kerala. Under this plan, BSNL is providing 2GB data per day for 60 days. That means 120GB data for the whole duration.
Apart from that, the company has launched Rs. 97 plan, where it is offering 2GB data and 250 minutes per day call for 18 days only. On the other hand, BSNL has also revised its existing Rs. 1,699 plan, and now it is available for 425 days. It also ships 2GB data per day along with 250 minutes of calling per day.
Previously, the company has launched the Rs. 997 plan, which offers 250 minutes of calling per day and 100 SMS per day. Besides, the company is providing PRBT services. However, this plan is only available in Kerala only, and it is already live in the same circle. But this one plan by the BSNL goes against the other long term offerings by the private telecom operators like Airtel is offering Rs. 998 plan.
Under Rs. 998 prepaid plan, Airtel is offering unlimited local, STD and national roaming calls with no FUP limit. It ships 12GB of data and 300SMS every month for 336 days. In that sense, Airtel is a clear winner as the plan is available for 336 days, while BSNL plan is valid for 180 days.
Ever since the government has announced its plan to revive BSNL, it is trying really hard to new attract new users so that the company can become profitable in two years.
The government also has announced a merger between both MTNL and the BSNL which will allow the latter to launch its services in Delhi and Mumbai. Apart from that, the company is all set to launch its 4G services in India, which we believe will help the telecom operator to give a tough fight to private players.
