BSNL launches special tariff voucher of Rs 99
The telco joins hands with Indian Software major Data Infosys Limited for providing email service.
State-run telecom operator Bharat Sanchar Nigam has announced a new special tariff voucher (STV) of Rs 99, users will get unlimited voice calling, national roaming free except for the people living in Delhi and Mumbai.
The company has also launched Voice STV of Rs 319 which also provide Unlimited voice (local/STD) on any-net in home LSA and national roaming (except Delhi and Mumbai) with a validity of 90 days on PAN India basis.
RK Mittal, Director (CM) BSNL Board informed that we are committed to providing affordable and efficient services to our customers. These special tariff vouchers are only for voice calls and give unlimited calling to those customers who are not using data services.
Meanwhile, the telco joins hands with Indian Software major Data Infosys Limited for providing email service.
BSNL said that to provide Internet in a local language and break the language barrier, The National Internet Exchange of India (NIXI) started Internationalized Domain Names (IDN) in 15 Indian Languages, however, it could not take off because there was no email solution available in the world to provide the email on IDNs.
Anil Jain, CGM, NCNGN said: " To foster Digital India mission BSNL took this Initiative and now become first Telecom Company of India which will offer linguistic email address service in Indian languages, aiming to address linguistic barrier for the internet growth in India."
Anupam Shrivastava, Chairman, and Managing Director BSNL said that "This is truly an Indians pride and honour to have a domain name with our Country name BHARAT and now email on these domains name. BSNL has taken a lead and got made in India solution named Xgenplus. Anyone can host their domain with us and get an email address in just Rs 365 plus taxes per email id per annum.
