Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) which is an Indian State-owned telecommunication company has recently announced two new unlimited prepaid mobile packs which are priced at Rs 99 and Rs 319 for its subscribers. The company plans on taking on the other telecommunication networks with the release of Rs 99 and Rs 319 plans that offer unlimited voice calling tariffs for the customers.
As per some reports from the web, the new plan which is priced at Rs. 319 and offers 90 days of validity, unlimited voice calls nationwide along with roaming. BSNL will be skipping the Mumbai and Delhi circles as per some reports from TelecomTalk reports. Whereas the Rs. 99 plan offers same voice calling benefits with a validity of 26 days only. The plan also offers a free caller tune service (PRBT). Further BSNL had announced a similar plan in February for the Kolkata telecom circle and has now made it available for pan-India.
In recent events, BSNL had also announced an IPL special recharge pack which was available for Rs. 248. The plan then provided the prepaid users with 153GB of data with a validity period of 51 days. Now, the plans that have been announced will be available until April 30 and its validity is similar to that of the IPL tournament schedule. The recharge pack will also enable the users to stream the ongoing IPL matches and the plan comes with a FUP limit of 3GB per day.
In order to compete with Reliance Jio and Airtel, BSNL also has introduced a number of new prepaid plans in the last two months. BSNL had also introduced Rs 551 prepaid pack which offers 1.5GB 4G data per day with unlimited access after FUP (Fair Usage Policy) at 80Kbps. There is also Rs. 444 pack that offers the same data and also some other benefits with unlimited voice (other network calls are restricted to 200 minutes per day) along with a validity of 60 days. There is also Rs. 485 prepaid pack which gives a user 1GB data per day, along with unlimited voice calls, 100 SMS messages per day and also comes with a validity of 90 days.
Also, BSNL has introduced a prepaid pack of Rs. 118 which offers a total of 1GB 3G/ $G data along with unlimited BSNL-to-BSNL voice calls 30 minutes per day for a total 0f 30 days. That said about the plans, it will be interesting to see how the users find the new plans and whether they will switch to BSNL from their existing network or not.
