BSNL to intro Rs. 399 postpaid plan with unlimited calls
BSNL’s new postpaid plan to offer unlimited voice calls.
State-run telecom operator BSNL has not been offering the best in the telecom space when it comes to the postpaid plans. This situation is soon expected to change as the company is said to come up with a new entry-level postpaid plan priced at Rs. 399. It is said that the company is offering unlimited voice calls in order to compete with the other operators that have done postpaid plan revisions.
The information has come from BSNL's CMD Anupam Shrivastava while interacting with users on Twitter. When exactly this plan will be introduced for the postpaid users remains unclear for now. However, it is believed that the plan could be rolled out for the postpaid users of BSNL in the next week.
Apart from the free unlimited voice calling benefit, the other benefits that this postpaid plan will offer remain unknown for now. We can expect the telecom operator to bundle some data benefit with this unlimited voice calling postpaid plan that is to cost Rs. 399.
As of now, BSNL has a range of postpaid plans priced from Rs. 99 and going up to Rs. 1,525. The most expensive plan of Rs. 1,525 is one of the best ones in the telecom market segment as it offers unlimited data without any associated FUP limit such as the other operators. But it remains unknown if the entry-level plan might be bundled with data offers.
Since the past few weeks, the leading telecom operators such as Airtel, Idea Cellular and Vodafone are constantly revising their postpaid plans. Initially, Airtel announced a massive revision of its plans offering unlimited roaming calls and almost double the data benefits. This started with the Rs. 399 myPlan Infinity plan that was soon implemented by Vodafone as well.
Recently, Idea Cellular revised the Rs. 399 plan and started offering benefits such as unlimited voice calls and 20GB data per billing cycle. Moreover, the telecom operators are offering bundled content services as well with their postpaid plans that is not the case with BSNL. Having that said, we are yet to know if BSNL will be offering additional benefits with the Rs. 399 postpaid plan to be introduced soon.
