MTNL increases its 3G mobile internet data up to 3 times

MTNL has release new offers providing 3 times more data at 1.5 GB with a validity of 30 days.

The state-run telecom operator Mahanagar Telecom Nigam Limited (MTNL) said that it has increased 3G mobile internet data up to three times at the same price, further bringing down the cost-per-GB Data.

The company said, "MTNL has decided to offer up to three times free data on existing Prepaid 3G Data Coupons available in the market."

Under the Rs 99 data coupons, a customer will get three times more data at 1.5 GB with a validity of 30 days against 500 MB earlier. Rs 19 coupon will now provide triple data at 750 MB.

"We are committed to providing affordable mobile services to all segments of the mobile customers. These offers are valid from August 7, 2017, for Delhi/NCR Customers," MTNL further said.

Under Rs 319 STV of MTNL, a customer will get 2GB of 2G/3G data every day, also Unlimited Free Calls on MTNL network (Delhi/Mumbai) and daily free 25 minutes on other networks, with a validity of 28 days.

Meanwhile, the company has posted a marginal dip of Rs 703.17 crore with the end of second quarter on 30 June, as opposed to that of Rs 718.02 crore in the same period of 2016.

Similarly, a total income of the public sector firm declined to Rs 812.66 crore in the reported quarter from Rs 881.93 crore in the corresponding quarter of 2016-17.

The total expenses were at Rs 1,515.83 crore in the quarter under review against that of Rs1,599.94 crore in the year-ago period and the financial cost of the debt-ridden public firm too increased by 3.6 percent to Rs358.36 crore from Rs345.88 crore during the period under review.

MTNL provides telecom are providing services in Delhi and Mumbai.
