Jio’s ₹445 and ₹175 Plans Now Include Free JioTV Premium Subscription

Reliance Jio is once again blurring the lines between mobile services and entertainment. The telecom company, known for bundling perks with its prepaid plans, is now offering free JioTV Premium subscriptions with two of its latest prepaid options - the ₹445 and ₹175 plans.

These plans are positioned to appeal to users who want a low-cost alternative to cable TV while still getting access to a mix of popular OTT platforms.

What Is JioTV Premium?

Before diving into the specifics of the plans, it's worth clarifying what JioTV Premium actually includes. Unlike Jio's basic free streaming services, the Premium tier acts as an aggregator, giving users access to content from a variety of partner OTT platforms.

This isn't just limited to Jio's own ecosystem - subscribers can stream shows and movies from Sony LIV, Zee5, Lionsgate Play, Sun NXT, Discovery Plus, Planet Marathi, Hoichoi, Saavn, FanCode, and more, all through the JioTV app.

It's essentially a unified content experience, wrapped into a single login, which could make it easier for users who are tired of switching between separate apps.

The ₹445 Plan: Data + Calls + Entertainment

Priced at ₹445, this prepaid plan includes 2GB of data per day, unlimited voice calls, and 100 SMS per day - all valid for 28 days. In addition to JioTV Premium, the plan also bundles 90 days of JioCinema (Hotstar) Mobile access, 50GB of JioAI cloud storage, and unlimited 5G data under Jio's current welcome offer.

This plan is aimed at users who need both daily connectivity and streaming options, especially for sports like the IPL or shows on regional and international OTTs.

The ₹175 Plan: A Lighter Option Focused on Streaming

The ₹175 plan also comes with a 28-day validity but is geared more towards entertainment-centric users. It includes 10GB of data, after which speeds drop to 64 Kbps. While it doesn't offer voice or SMS benefits, it does include access to the same OTT platforms as the ₹445 plan via JioTV Premium.

Think of this as a more budget-friendly, data + OTT access combo - ideal for users who mostly consume video content and already have an existing calling setup.

No Other Plans Offer This Combo (Yet)

At the moment, these two prepaid plans are the only ones that come with a JioTV Premium subscription bundled in. If you're using any other Jio plan, you won't get access to the Premium tier through it.

This could change in the future, especially as the company continues experimenting with bundling models, but for now, the offering is limited.
