One-year-old telecom operator Reliance Jio has updated its Rs 149 plan for its prepaid users.
The updated plan will allow users to access the internet at 64 kbps after the speed quota is over which is 2GB for 28 days. Earlier customers had to recharge with a voucher after the given the speed exhausted.
However, the company is still not offering any unlimited data at its plans of Rs 19 and Rs 49, while Rs 96 plan is offering 7GB OF 4G data for 7 days.
The Rs 149 plan is also providing 300 SMS along with 2GB 4G data for 28 days.
Meanwhile to compete with Jio and other service providers India's largest telecom operator Bharti Airtel has announced its new plan in which the company is offering 4G/3G/2G data along with unlimited voice calls at Rs 199 for 28 days.
However Airtel is only providing 300 minutes of calling per day and 1200 minutes per week. The company has also announced its plan of Rs 178 for new customers.
Under the new offer, users will get 1GB of 4G/3G/2G data, unlimited local + STD calls for 28 days.
Airtel said on its website that it offers "unlimited Airtel calls + 2GB data" with a validity of 28 days, and it is applicable only on 4G H/S (handset) & 4G SIM. T&C apply."
The company has other 4G data plans which start from Rs 149, Rs 349, Rs 349 and Rs 349.
