Vi Revises it’s Rs 129, Rs 298 Plans to Offer More Benefits

Vodafone Idea, in a bid to increase its user base and attract new customers, have tweaked two of their affordable recharge schemes for prepaid customers. The telco giant has now made changes, to offer increased benefits, to two prepaid schemes, the Rs 129 and Rs 298 plans.

Point to note here is that Vi is the only remaining telecom provider in the country yet to start rolling out its 5G services. Airtel and Jio, the competitor telcos, have rapidly been increasing their 5G coverage in the country. Recently, Vodafone Idea also launched a new affordable scheme priced at Rs 181, to offer added data benefits to customers.

Details of Revised Vodafone Idea Rs 129 and Rs 298 Recharge Plans

The revised plan for Rs 129 now offers unlimited calls to customers for 18 days. Additionally, it also offers 200mb data for 18 days, but no SMS benefits. SMS charges will be as paper usual, which is Rs 1 for local SMS, Rs 1.5 for STD SMS, and Rs 5 for ISD messages.

On the other hand, the revised plan of Rs 298 aims to offer 50GB of data valid for 28 days. It also grants access to Vi Movies & TV classic access to premium movies, originals, news, and live TV. This one is categorised under their "Work from home" section on their website, aimed at attracting customers who need added data benefits specifically.

Vi Recently Launched New Plan Data Benefits

The new developments of revision in existing plans came shortly after the telco launched a new plan priced at Rs 181, for added data benefits on top of existing plans. This one offers 1GB daily data, and the counter resets every day. The plan however, did not offer any benefits on voice calls or SMS.

Two other plans launched by the telco include Rs 289 and Rs 429. These, in spite of being priced slightly higher, offer multiple benefits to customers. Best suited for those using Vi as a secondary sim, the Rs 289 one offers 4GB of data, 600 messages, and unlimited calling for 48 days. On the other hand, the Rs 429 scheme, customers get 6GB data, 1000 messages a day, unlimited calling for 78 days.

Point to note is that the internet services offered on these data packs are 4G.
