Vodafone offering Unlimited Data With Its RedX Postpaid Plans

With an aim to improve average revenue per user, Vodafone Idea, India's largest telecom operator has launched a new plan. The new Vodafone REDX is a limited edition postpaid plan, which comes with entertainment apps, bundled international roaming services, unlimited data with superior data speeds, access to airport lounges, exclusive deals on handsets, and hotel bookings.

Besides, the company is offering a 50 percent faster speeds to its customers under a high-value postpaid plan. However, the company has not revealed the exact details about the speeds guaranteed under this plan. The new plan is priced at Rs.999 (GST extra). However, if, a user wants to discontinue this plan, then they have to pay an exit fee of Rs. 3,000.

The users will get unlimited local and national calling without any cap. It includes unlimited data with a cap at 150GB. Apart from that, this plan offers calling benefits for seven days. In addition, users will get free lounge access, both at domestic and international airports.

The plan includes one-year complimentary access to Netflix, Amazon Prime, ZEE5 subscription, and Vodafone Play, which offers content from SonyLIV and AltBalaji. Furthermore, it includes deals on Samsung phones, ISD calling to USA and Canada at 50 paise per minute. Besides, users will get 10 percent off on hotel bookings on Hotels.com and flat 10 percent off on tickets to museums.

The new plans come after Airtel announced the launch of Rs. 599 plan, where the latter has tied up with Bharti AXA Life Insurance. The plan ships 2GB data per day, unlimited calls, 100 SMS/day, and Rs. 400,000 life insurance cover from Bharti AXA Life Insurance. In fact, the company has launched this offer when it is struggling to retain its users and to grow its revenue.
