The entry-level Apple Watch Sport will retail for $349 or about Rs.22,400. In comparison, Motorola's Moto 360 start around $229 or about Rs. 14,656. The original Pebble watch is priced at just $99 or about Rs. 6,400.

The Apple Watch needs an iPhone to connect to the Internet

If you're planning to buy the Apple Watch - make sure you have the latest iPhone model. The oldest iPhone it will connect to is the iPhone 5, and it has to be running iOS 8.3 software.

The watches are made from anodized aluminum (Apple Watch Sport), stainless steel (Apple Watch) and 18-karat gold (Apple Watch Edition)

The Apple Watch and Apple Watch Edition screens will be made from sapphire crystal, the same material used in high-end luxury watches. The Apple Watch Sport will feature an Ion-X glass display.
