Apple Watch in India could start from Rs.39,900 to a whopping 14 lakhs

    Apple watch will come to India on November 6. While Apple is remaining tight lipped about the prices of Apple Watch, prices for the Apple Watch in the US are indicative of what they might cost in India.

    Apple is planning to launch the entire range of Apple Wearables in India with prices starting from Rs 30,900 and going up to a whopping Rs 14.2 lakh. These prices were earlier reported by Gadgets360 of NDTV. Gadgets360 had reported that the Watch Sport will be priced at Rs 30,900 for the 38mm variant, and Rs 34,900 for the 42mm variant.

    The Apple Watch with Sport Band will cost Rs 48,900, while the Watch with Link Bracelet will cost Rs 95,900. Apple has a mix of 34 combinations for the Watch, and the most expensive watch will be the Watch Edition with Gold Case and Modern Buckle, priced at Rs 14.2 lakh. Apple is marketing some of these high end watches in the luxury category, owing to use of metals like Gold. Apple is also bringing all the bands to India, and prices for the Sport Band starts from Rs 3,900.

    The US edition of the Apple Watch costs $349 (Rs 23,000 approximately) for the 38mm variant and $399 (Rs 26,000 approximately) for the 42mm variant. It is also necessary to note that the data on prices for the Apple watch are not inclusive of applicable taxes.

    The most expensive variant of the Apple Watch in the US costs $17,000 excluding taxes, which roughly calculates to Rs 11 lakh. This only indicates that the Watch edition of the Apple Watches, which are a luxury category watch could cost anywhere less than 15 lakhs. Only those who splurge would agree.
