Apple Watch Receives Price Cut: New Watch Bands Launched And More!

Apple hit the stage at its 'Loop You In' event scheduled in its Cupertino headquarters and announced something which nobody would have expected in the best of dreams. Surprise! Surprise! The Apple Watch has now received a price cut and is now available at just $299 in US.

Now Cheaper than before!

Barely a year has passed since the launch of the first-gen smartwatch from Apple, and the official price cut is aimed to trigger the so-far sluggish sale of the same. Apart from announcing a price cut, Apple has launched a few more bands for its smartwatch to provide users with more customization options.

All new Nylon Straps

The watch bands come with a dramatic change in style thanks to new nylon straps which are apparently manufactured by a unique 'four-layer' construction. The all new bands come in seven funky colours including Royal Blue, Pink, Gold/Red, Gold/Royal Blue, Pearl, Scuba Blue and Black.

Besides that, there is a new Yellow, Apricot and Royal Blue coloured Sports band along with the addition of Red, Marine Blue, Marigold, White, Blue Jay and Storm Grey coloured leather bands.

Space Black Milanese Loop steals the show

Interestingly though the showstopper is the most highly anticipated Black coloured variant of Milanese Loop band. Apparently this colour of the band has been highly sought after ever since the launch of the smartwatch.

Pricing and Availability

Apple has priced the Nylon bands modestly at $49 (Rs 3,250 approx.) while the Milanese one is price at $149 (Rs 9,685 approx.) Besides giving the 38mm Apple Watch a price cut to $299 from $349, the Cupertino giant has undercut the cost of the 42mm variant by $50 (Rs 3,250 approx.) Previously the Apple Watch 42 mm variant was priced at $399 (Rs 25,935 approx.) and is now down to $349 (Rs 22,685 approx.)
