Apple Watch Series 10 Might Finally Get Galaxy Watch-Inspired Blood Pressure Monitoring Feature
Apple is reportedly bringing a blood pressure monitoring feature to the upcoming Watch Series 10. The Apple Watches already offer a plethora of features except for blood pressure monitoring, which is already available for the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4, Watch 5, and Watch 6 models.
To recall, Samsung was the first to introduce a blood pressure monitoring feature back in 2019 with the Galaxy Watch Active 2. However, the tech giant introduced the feature this year in India which can be accessed via the Samsung Health Monitor app.

Gurman stated in the Bloomberg blog "All signs point to the new Apple Watch gaining a blood-pressure checker this fall. But it doesn't appear that the capability will be coming to current models".
To offer blood pressure measurement and ECG readings on the smartwatches, the company needs some approval. If Apple gets FDA clearance, the next-gen Apple Watch Series 10 will be another game-changer in the market.
However, you might still need a traditional blood pressure monitor to get accurate readings. Earlier, Gurman revealed that the Apple Watch Series 10 might initially not give you exact blood pressure readings. It will only let you know if your blood pressure is going up or down.
The future versions of the Apple Watch will be capable of showing exact blood pressure readings. To note, the existing Apple Watch models will also be not able to access the blood pressure monitoring feature via a software update as it requires special hardware.
As far as the launch is concerned, the Apple Watch Series 10 is expected to go official in September along with the iPhone 16 series. Rumours suggested the next-gen Apple Watch will feature microLED display technology. Along with blood pressure monitoring, a sleep apnea detection feature is also expected from the Watch Series 10.
