Apple Watch X Might Get a Design Overhaul

Apple is reportedly working on its next-gen watch dubbed the Apple Watch X. Last week, renders of the Watch X surfaced online, revealing health-tracking capabilities.

Now, the latest development hints at a revamped thinner design compared to the previous generation and a new magnetic band system. Here's what to expect from the Apple X (Series 10) watch.

Apple Watch X New Design Expected

Now, Digitimes (citing its supply chain sources) claims that the next-generation Apple Watch will come with a new resin-coated copper (RCC) motherboard design. A thinner RCC logic motherboard could provide more space for other components.

Apple could include a larger battery and other internal components by making the logic board thinner. The recently leaked renders also showcased a potentially sleeker design for the Apple Watch X. It is also anticipated to come with a novel magnetic band attachment system.

The Apple Watch is rumoured to feature a microLED display. However, the leaked renders hinted Apple could use the same OLED technology for its next-gen watch as well. It might include blood pressure monitoring but wouldn't provide exact blood pressure readings except for high or low blood pressure levels.

Coming to the launch, Mark Gurman reported last year that Apple's next-gen watch could arrive in 2024 or 2025. With the 10th anniversary of the Apple Watch, the tech giant will represent the biggest redesign of the Watch ever.

Gurman already hinted that Apple is planning to switch from the band-compatible sliding system to a new magnetic attachment system which means the existing bands won't be compatible with the new design.

In the same, Apple has officially announced a special online event on May 7, where it is expected to introduce the iPad Pro 2024 and a new iPad Air model.
