Fossil Gen 5 Wear OS smartwatches have finally launched in the Indian market. The products are available for sales through Fossil India's website, Fossil retail stores, and other retail partners. To recall, these smartwatches were launched in August 2019, across the globe.

The Fossil Gen 5 is up for grabs at a starting price of Rs. 22,995. As far as specs are concerned, the smartwatch sports a 1.3-inch circular AMOLED display packed inside a 44mm dial. It is powered by the Snapdragon Wear 3100 processor, coupled with 1GB RAM and 8GB in-built storage. It comes with a crown and two push buttons, which you can customize to launch any app in the smartwatch.

On the software front, the smartwatch runs Google's Wear OS. Furthermore, these Fossil Gen 5 smartwatches come with four different battery modes, comprising 'Daily', 'Custom', 'Time-only' and 'Extended'. Their battery claims to offer up to 36 hours of battery life and up to a week standby time in clock mode. In terms of sensors, these smartwatches feature an accelerometer, gyroscope, altimeter, ambient light, and a heart rate monitor.

These watches are laced up with some auto-installed apps. Besides, they come with music streaming service, Spotify, peace of mind and safety app, Noonlight, and Nike Run Club. These products also feature swimproof speaker which the users can effectively use underwater to make or receive phone calls.

In terms of connectivity, these watches sport Bluetooth 4.2, NFC, Wi-Fi, GPS, and more. They are infused with the health tracker that has an integrated microphone and speaker, allowing users to take calls directly from the smartwatch. And, even users can use Google Assistant using the watches.
