Garmin Announces Two-Year Warranty Policy and Limited-Time Exchange Program in India: Check Eligible Devices
Garmin India has introduced a new two-year warranty policy for specific watch models purchased in the country. This extended warranty is applicable to models launched in India after January 2024, such as the Forerunner 165 Series, Fenix 8 Series, Enduro 3, Instinct 3 Series, and other eligible future releases.
Extended Warranty Scope and Purpose
The company aims to enhance the value of Garmin watches bought in India through this initiative. It encourages purchases via authorised retail channels. Watches bought internationally or from unofficial online platforms may only have a one-year warranty. Customers seeking warranty service for such products in India might face import duty and Goods and Services Tax (GST) as per government regulations.

Garmin has addressed concerns about the sale of unused, refurbished, discontinued, or non-warranty products without informing customers about the lack of warranty coverage. This practice has led to negative service experiences for some buyers.
Limited-Time Exchange Program
In response to these issues, Garmin offers a limited-time exchange program for affected customers. Eligible customers can receive a 50% discount on a Venu Sq 2 or a 25% discount on other Garmin watch models if they provide a proper tax invoice. This offer is valid from June 1, 2025, until June 30, 2025.
To avoid purchasing non-serviceable products, Garmin advises customers to check the Garmin India website and buy only models listed as available. Customers wishing to inquire about or avail of the exchange opportunity should email [email protected].
How to Avail the Exchange Offer?
The company's support team will acknowledge these requests and provide guidance on the process within 15 days where applicable. Garmin states that this program aims to improve customer satisfaction for those whose purchases may not be eligible for standard warranty coverage, even if made within the typical one-year period.
Garmin India reiterates its commitment to delivering reliable products and comprehensive after-sales support. The company highlights that watches acquired internationally or via unofficial online platforms may only carry a one-year warranty.
