Nothing Ear (2) Launched in India at ₹9,999: Specifications, Features

The Nothing Ear (2) has finally been launched, following a slew of teasers and leaks. Compared to its predecessor, the Ear (1), the new TWS earbuds do not see a drastic change when it comes to the design.

The Ear (2) does offer some upgrades under the hood, notably better ANC, improved sound quality, up to 36 hours of battery life, and more. Unfortunately, the price has been bumped up too, flaunting a price tag of ₹9,999. That's a significant price hike over its predecessor, which debuted at ₹5,999.

Nothing Ear (2): Specifications

When it comes to aesthetics, the Nothing Ear (2) inherits the brand's transparent design language. The earbuds are bundled in a transparent case, while the device itself is semi-transparent. The Ear (2) features press controls to play/pause songs, answer calls, reject calls, and more.

The Nothing Ear (2) features 11.6mm dynamic drivers with a dual-chamber design for improved audio quality. The device is equipped with Clear Voice tech, which can supposedly reduce call noise. It is supplemented by three microphones that suppress background noise.

The Ear (2) supports Hi-Res audio, LHDC 5.0 codecs, AAC, and SBC. It is compatible with Bluetooth 5.3 and supports Android 5.1 and newer as well as iOS 11 and newer. The device can also be used with Google Fast Pair and Microsoft Swift Pair.

As for noise cancellation, the Nothing Ear (2) features Personalized ANC up to 40dB and Environment Adaptive ANC. It also supports Smart Adaptive Noise cancellation with four modes-High, Mid, Low, and Adaptive.

The Ear (2) case features a 485mAh battery, promising up to 36 hours of music playback on a single charge without ANC. The device also supports fast charging, wherein a quick 10-minute charge can reportedly offer up to 8 hours of playback.

In addition, the Nothing Ear (2) features 2.5W wireless charging. The device can also be reverse charged with the Nothing phone (1). When it comes to durability, the earbuds have an IP54 rating, while the charging case has an IP55 rating for water resistance.

The Nothing Ear (2) costs ₹9,999 in India and will go on sale from March 28, 2023 at 12pm. The earbuds can be purchased from Flipkart, Myntra, and leading retail stores.
