Redmi Watch 3 Launches Outside China: Premium Wearable With 1.75-Inch AMOLED Screen
Xiaomi launched the Redmi Watch 3 in China late last year. The premium wearable with a large AMOLED display is now available outside its home country.
The Redmi Watch 3 is one of the first smartwatches in its category to ditch the Android Wear OS ecosystem. Xiaomi has used its own proprietary smartwatch operating system to power the Redmi Watch 3. Let's take a look at all the available details of the wearable, which could arrive in India soon.

Xiaomi Redmi Watch 3 Price, Availability
The Redmi Watch 3 comes in Black and Ivory color options. Back in December, when the smartwatch launched in China, Xiaomi was asking 499 Yuan (approx. $71 / ₹5,935) for the wearable.
However, the Xiaomi Redmi Watch 3's price outside China has been fixed at €119 (approx. $128 / ₹10,595 approx.) in the European Union. The brand is asking £99.99 (approx. $122 / ₹10,100) for the smartwatch in the UK.
Xiaomi hasn't confirmed if or when the Redmi Watch 3 will arrive in India. As the smartwatch does not have the Google Play Store, it lacks the capability of running Android smartwatch apps. Hence, it is possible that Xiaomi may offer a Redmi Watch 3 with Google Wear OS for the Indian market.
Xiaomi Redmi Watch 3 Specifications, Features
The Redmi Watch 3 features a large 1.75″ AMOLED screen with a 60Hz refresh rate and 600 nits of peak brightness. The smartwatch's display has a screen-to-body ratio of up to 70%.
Xiaomi assures it has upgraded the quality of the screen. The display has a resolution of 390 x 450 pixels with 341 PPI pixel density, which can be considered an ultra-high-definition resolution for clear picture quality, claimed the Chinese tech giant.
Xiaomi hasn't offered any details about the chipset powering the Redmi Watch 3. The wearable runs a proprietary smartwatch OS, which means buyers won't be able to install Android apps from Google Play Store. Xiaomi has merely indicated the Redmi Watch 3 packs a high-end GNSS chip for precise location mapping and tracking.
Xiaomi has offered a "nail buckle" strap with the Redmi Watch 3. The primary locking hole needs to be adjusted once. Thereafter it's convenient and worry-free to use afterward, claims Xiaomi.
The smartwatch also includes over 200 customizable watch faces and more than 121 sports modes. The Redmi Watch 3 has NFC, Voice control, an optical heart rate sensor (including blood oxygen), an acceleration sensor, a gyroscope, and a geomagnetic sensor. The GNSS chip inside the smartwatch supports BeiDou, GPS, GLONASS, GALILEO, and QZSS navigation and location services.
Xiaomi has offered Bluetooth v5.2 with calling support. The Redmi Watch 3 packs a 289mAh battery, which claims to offer up to 12 days of battery under typical usage. The Redmi smartwatch is resistant to up to 5ATM or 50 meters underwater, which suggests that buyers can wear the device while swimming or taking showers.
The Redmi Watch 3 weighs just 37g. It is available in Elegant Black and Ivory White color options.
