Samsung Galaxy Ring Expected to Feature ‘Lost Mode’ for Advanced Tracking Capabilities
Samsung's Galaxy Ring is set to launch at the upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event alongside new foldable phones in July. The smart ring is expected to include health and sleep tracking monitors.
Recent reports suggest that Samsung is adding a feature to help Galaxy Ring owners locate their wearables quickly. An APK teardown of Samsung's Find app reveals this new functionality.

Samsung Galaxy Ring Lost Mode
According to Android Police, the app strings like "Tap start to make the light on your ring blink" and "Ring light is blinking" indicate a "Lost Mode" feature. The lights on the Galaxy Ring will blink continuously when activated, making it easier to find in a dark room.
The Samsung Find app will notify users if the light is blinking or if it fails to connect with the ring to trigger the blinking. It will also allow users to lock their Samsung accounts from the app to secure the ring data.
Samsung Galaxy Ring: Launch and Pricing Details
The Galaxy Ring was teased in January during the Galaxy S24 series launch event and appeared at MWC in February. It is expected to be officially launched on July 10 at the next Unpacked event alongside the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Galaxy Z Fold 6.
The ring is expected to cost Rs. 35,000 in India and between $300-$350 (roughly Rs. 25,000 to Rs. 30,000) in the US. The Galaxy Ring will run on Samsung's Health platform and will be available in three colours: Black, Gold, and Silver shades. It will offer features like heart rate tracking and SpO2 (blood oxygen) monitoring among others.
The Ring's battery details were hinted at in an FCC listing. Lost Mode on the Samsung Find My Mobile app allows you to lock your Samsung account, preventing anyone else from using features like ringing the device or accessing your personal information if it is truly lost.
