Samsung Galaxy Watch 8 Series to Adopt Squircle Design, Renders Surface Online

Samsung is expected to introduce the next Galaxy Watch 8 series soon, which will likely include the Galaxy Watch 8, 8 Classic, and Ultra 2025. While there is no official word regarding the upcoming smartwatches, Android Headlines reports that these watches will feature a squircle design, first seen in last year's Galaxy Watch Ultra. This design will be present across all three models, including the base Galaxy Watch 8.

Samsung Galaxy Watch 8 Series Design - What to Expect?

The Galaxy Watch 8 Classic and Ultra 2025 are expected to share a similar appearance. However, the Classic version has a thicker bezel with notches for rotating it. It will also incorporate the Quick button from last year's Galaxy Watch Ultra. OnLeaks released CADs of the Galaxy Watch 8 Classic last month, aligning with Android Headlines' render.

The base model, Galaxy Watch 8, will also adopt the squircle shape but less prominently than the Classic and Ultra versions. Samsung might continue offering this model in both 40mm and 44mm sizes as they did previously. The squircle design was introduced for durability on the Galaxy Watch Ultra last year, catering to outdoor enthusiasts. While the Galaxy Watch 8 isn't designed as a rugged smartwatch like its predecessors, it will be intriguing to see how Samsung markets this feature.

The Galaxy Watch Ultra is expected to get minimal design changes from its predecessor. The primary alteration is in colour options; this time featuring a blue bezel with a matching Marine strap. Previously, only Orange or Dark Gray straps were available. This blue variant might be Samsung's standout colour for the Ultra 2025 model, added the report.
