Samsung Galaxy Watch 9, Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 Launched in India with OLED Display, Snapdragon Chip, WearOS 7

Samsung has expanded its wearable portfolio in India with the launch of the Galaxy Watch 9 and the flagship Galaxy Watch Ultra 2. Unlike previous generations, Samsung has skipped the Classic model this year, instead focusing on two distinct offerings, one for everyday fitness enthusiasts and another for outdoor adventurers and endurance athletes.

Both smartwatches are powered by Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon Wear Elite chipset built on a 3nm process, replacing Samsung's in-house Exynos platform. The new processor promises faster app launches, smoother animations, improved power efficiency, and better thermal performance, making the latest Galaxy Watches more responsive during daily use.

Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra 2: Built for Adventure

Leading the lineup is the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2, designed for users who spend more time outdoors. The smartwatch features a rugged 47mm titanium chassis that is now 12 percent thinner than its predecessor at 10.7mm, while retaining a durable design.

Samsung has equipped the wearable with an 800mAh battery, a 35 percent increase over the previous generation, alongside a 1.52-inch OLED display capable of reaching 5,000 nits of peak brightness for excellent outdoor visibility.

The Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 also introduces EN13319-certified dive support with 10 ATM water resistance, allowing it to record depth, water temperature, and dive time automatically. Samsung is also partnering with scuba brand Mares to introduce a dedicated diving app later this year.

Additional highlights include dual-frequency L1 and L5 GPS, LTE connectivity, Bluetooth, dual-band Wi-Fi, 64GB of onboard storage, and advanced trail running and hydration tracking features.
