At the IFA 2017 tech show, Samsung announced the launch of the Gear Fit 2 Pro and Gear Sport wearables. Also, the company has launched the Gear IconX 2018 wireless earbuds, a gaming monitor, a curved OLED TV and a Frame TV besides a few other smart home appliances.
The Gear Fit 2 Pro features a new watch-style clasp. It is MIL-STD-810G certified for durability in order to handle a range of environmental conditions. Also, there is a slew of functionalities in this one. The other device that has been launched is the Gear sport also with the military standard for durability.

Samsung Gear Fit 2 Pro
The Gear Fit 2 Pro comes fitted with a 1.5-inch Curved Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 216x432 pixels topped with Gorilla Glass 3 protection. Under its hood, the device appears to have a dual-core processor paired with 512MB RAM and 4GB storage space. The Gear Fit 2 Pro runs on Tizen OS and is compatible with devices running on Android 4.4 and above and iOS 9 and above.
The Samsung Gear Fit 2 Pro is equipped with a standalone music player, and has connectivity features such as Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, and Wi-Fi. A 2000mAh battery powers the smartwatch giving it up to 5 days of backup.
The Gear Fit 2 Pro has been launched in Red and Black colors in both small and large sizes at $199 (approx. Rs. 12,700) and the release will happen from September 15.
Samsung Gear Sport
The Gear Sport is fitted with a 1.2-inch Circular Super AMOLED Always On display and Gorilla Glass 3 protection. Similar to the Gear Fit 2 Pro, this one also has a 1GHz dual-core processor paired with 4GB storage space and runs on Tizen OS with similar device compatibility. The RAM is 768MB in the Gear Sport. The connectivity features are also identical to the Gear Sport Fit 2 and gets the power from a 3000mAh battery with support for wireless charging. It supports heart rate monitoring, GPS and NFC as well for Samsung Pay. There are changeable standard 20mm straps on the Gear Sport.
The Gear Sport comes in Blue and Black colors and is priced at $349.99 (approx. Rs. 26,700) and the sale will debut in October.
As mentioned above, both the Gear Fit 2 Pro and Gear Sport are MIL-STD-810G certified for durability and 5 ATM certified making them water resistant up to 50 meters under water. These devices come preloaded with the Speedo swimming training app called Speedo On that will track key swim metrics such as lap time, lap count, stroke type, and more. The Gear Fit 2 Pro comes with support for Spotify with offline mode.
Samsung Gear IconX 2018
Samsung has also unveiled the next generation wireless earbuds, the Gear IconX 2018 at the event. The new variant comes with a carrying case featuring a 340mAh battery. The earbuds are similar to the existing Gear IconX and support Bixby Voice that can be activated by just tapping and holding the earbud to use your voice for controlling. It supports Bluetooth 4.2 and is compatible with smartphones based on Android 4.4 and above. The Gear IconX has been launched in Gray, Black, and Pink color options and will be available at $273 from November this year.
Samsung Frame TV 43-inch
At the IFA 2017, Samsung unveiled its first art-inspired Frame TV 43-inch version. The latest model costing around $,1000 will be a good alternative for those who do not want to spend a lot to buy the 55-inch and 65-inch Frame TV models priced at $2,000 and $,2800 respectively.
Samsung Q8F OLED TV
Besides the Frame TV 43-inch version, the company also announced a flat OLED TV at the IFA 2017 show floor. Samsung's new Q8F QLED TV is a flat version of its curved Q8C television that was launched in the European market in two options - 55 inches and 65 inches.
Samsung 49-inch QLED gaming monitor
Samsung announced a 49-inch QLED gaming monitor a few months back. Now, at the IFA 2017 show floor, the company showed off the same. This monitor is monstrous and you can setup two monitors side-by-side for gaming and working.
