Samsung's Gear Fit 2 Pro will be the successor to the Gear Fit 2 and the price for the product has already been leaked. Gear Fit 2 was launched in June 2016 and earlier speculations were that the successor to the fitness band would be Samsung Gear Fit 3. However, this speculation has been ruled out after the price for Gear Fit 2 Pro was leaked.

The leak comes from famous Samsung evangelist Evan Blass. Blass reported that a well-established U.S. retailer has listed the price for Samsung Gear Fit Pro on its site as $199.99(approx. 13,000). The original Gear Fit 2 was released for a price of $179 (approx. Rs. 11,500). The name of the retailer has not been revealed by Evan.

Several retailers have already dropped the price for Samsung gear Fit 2. The fitness band was also offered for no extra cost with Samsung Galaxy S8. Samsung Gear Fit 2 Pro will soon be launched and speculations are that the device will be unveiled along with the launch of Galaxy Note 8.

This is quite plausible since Apple is also rumored to be planning for the third Generation Apple Watch launch along with 2017 iPhone flagships.

Samsung has high hopes from its upcoming Note successor which will be launched on August 23rd in New York. Samsung Gear Fit saw a phenomenal response when it was launched in 2014. Gear Fit 2 was also quite successful in piling up sales. It is certain that Samsung would want the next in the series of the product to be successful as well and there is no better way to highlight the product than launching it at one of the most anticipated smartphone launches in 2017.
