Samsung Galaxy Watch 8 Series Launches with Three Models and Smarter Health Tools: Check Price, Specs
At Galaxy Unpacked 2025 in New York, Samsung unveiled a trio of new smartwatches: the Galaxy Watch 8, the returning Watch 8 Classic, and a slightly updated Watch Ultra. This marks a shift from the company’s usual two-watch lineup, giving buyers more flexibility across size, design, and durability.
While each watch has its own identity, they all run Wear OS 6 with One UI 8 Watch, powered by the new Exynos W1000 3nm chipset and paired with 2GB RAM. From casual users to outdoor athletes, the series now covers more ground—without compromising on core health or AI features.

Galaxy Watch 8: Redesigned for Everyday Comfort
The base Galaxy Watch 8 sees the biggest transformation. It's 11% thinner than its predecessor and adopts a new Cushion Design with Dynamic Lugs for a more ergonomic fit. Available in 40mm and 44mm sizes, it’s also the only model offering size options this year.
Its Super AMOLED display now hits 3,000 nits of peak brightness, making it easier to read outdoors. Battery life gets a minor bump too—325mAh in the 40mm and 435mAh in the 44mm variant. With a lightweight frame and minimalist look (Graphite and Silver colors), this model is built for everyday wearers who want all the smarts in a slimmer body.
Galaxy Watch 8 Classic: The Bezel Returns
For those who prefer a more traditional watch experience, the Galaxy Watch 8 Classic brings back the beloved rotating bezel—now powered by a precise 3D Hall Sensor. It comes in a single 46mm size and is built with stainless steel for a more premium feel. Battery capacity sits at 445mAh.

The display is just as bright and sharp as the base model, but the Classic is heavier and more robust, aimed at users who want a mix of tactile feedback and elegant design. Available in Black and White.
Galaxy Watch Ultra: Minor Refresh, Same Rugged DNA
The Galaxy Watch Ultra remains Samsung’s most rugged offering. Though nearly identical to last year’s model in appearance, it now includes 64GB of storage (double the previous version) and a new Titanium Blue color.

It retains its 47mm size, 10ATM water resistance, and LTE-only connectivity. The Ultra is clearly designed for outdoor and fitness enthusiasts who need durability and endurance—the large 590mAh battery helps with that too.
Shared Features and Smarter Health
All three watches support the same upgraded BioActive Sensor, offering heart rate, ECG, body composition, and skin temperature tracking. New wellness features include Bedtime Guidance based on circadian rhythms, Vascular Load to monitor sleep stress, and an Antioxidant Index for tracking carotenoid levels—an indicator of healthy aging.
Samsung’s new Gemini AI assistant also makes its debut on all models, enabling hands-free voice control for tasks, navigation, and reminders.
Availability and Pricing
The Bluetooth-only Galaxy Watch 8 is priced at ₹32,999 for the 40mm model and ₹35,999 for the 44mm version. If you want LTE connectivity, the 40mm LTE model is priced at ₹36,999, while the 44mm LTE variant will cost ₹39,999.
For those eyeing a more classic design, the Galaxy Watch 8 Classic comes in a single 46mm size. The Bluetooth version is priced at ₹46,999, and the LTE model comes in at ₹50,999.
Color options include Graphite and Silver for the Galaxy Watch 8, and Black and White for the Watch 8 Classic. All models are now available for pre-order in India, with official sales beginning July 25.
