Samsung Opens Pre-Reservations for Galaxy Ring in India Ahead of Launch, Pre-Orders Expected Soon
Samsung's sleek Galaxy Ring, a stylish take on health and wellness wearables, is finally arriving in India. After launching in select regions alongside the Galaxy Z Fold6 and Z Flip6 in July, the Galaxy Ring is now available for pre-reservation.
Pre-Reservation Details and Perks
Indian customers can pre-reserve the Galaxy Ring by paying a refundable deposit of ₹1,999 through Samsung's website. If they change their mind, the full amount will be refunded. Those who pre-reserve will also get a Wireless Charger Duo worth ₹4,999 at no extra cost.

The pre-reservation period ends on October 15, suggesting that pre-orders might open soon after. While pricing and shipping details aren't confirmed yet, Samsung's countdown timer hints that more updates are on the way.
Once available, the Galaxy Ring will be sold on Amazon, Flipkart, Samsung's website, and select retail stores across India.
Design and Features
The Galaxy Ring comes in three sleek color options-Titanium Black, Titanium Silver, and Titanium Gold-and is made from durable Grade 5 titanium. Weighing between 2.3g and 3g, depending on the size, the ring is available in nine different sizes, ensuring a comfortable fit for a variety of users. It also boasts an IP68 rating with 10 ATM water resistance, making it well-suited for daily wear, even during intense workouts or swimming sessions.
Samsung's focus on health and fitness is evident in the range of sensors included in the Galaxy Ring. It features an accelerometer, gyro sensor, heart rate monitor, and skin temperature sensor. These sensors allow the ring to track various health metrics, including steps, sleep quality, heart rate, blood oxygen levels, and workout performance. However, the absence of GPS means that it won't offer precise tracking for outdoor activities like running.
Battery Life and Smart Capabilities
The Galaxy Ring's battery can last between five to seven days on a single charge, depending on usage and ring size. Samsung has included a compact charging case that holds an additional 1.5 charges, making it easy for users to stay powered throughout the week. The ring integrates with the Samsung Health app, offering detailed insights without requiring any subscription fee-a notable difference from competing smart rings like Oura, which lock advanced metrics behind a paywall.
Samsung has also introduced Galaxy AI to enhance the health tracking experience. One of its standout features is the Energy Score, which assesses various metrics-such as sleep stages, activity, and heart rate variability-to provide personalized recommendations for users. This AI-powered feature aims to help users better understand their physical state and optimize their daily routines.
